OLIVIA STEWART

Is an international and award winning designer who grew up in rural Oxfordshire. She began her career studying horticulture and running a garden maintenance business where, hands in the soil, she rooted her deep love of plants and the environment. Inspired to design gardens she retrained as a residential landscape architect at one of England’s top schools. Shortly after graduating she won a silver gilt medal for her RHS Young Designer of the Year show garden at Tatton Park.

Despite her initial success as a designer in the UK, she left the country for a new adventure and spent most of her professional life as a landscape architect in Switzerland, working for some of the country's most prestigious design firms, Simmen Group, Enea GmbH and Rolf von Burg.  It is in this beautiful country that she learnt most of her values and professionalism, whilst developing a deep love of mountains and alpine landscapes.

In more recent years, Olivia stepped in as co-director of SNDesign Ltd, an Oxfordshire company established by her colleague, Sarah Naybour (www.sarahnaybourcc.co.uk). Through their collaborative efforts, the company excelled, designing and overseeing substantial high-end projects. As circumstances evolved, SNDesign Ltd was dissolved, leading Olivia and Sarah to embark on separate but collaborative business ventures.

Fluent in English, French and German, Olivia has worked on numerous projects since returning to the UK, contributing her multicultural background and influences. Through her experience with landscapers, craftspeople and design work at SNDesign.Ltd she has amalgamated a broad portfolio of both contemporary and classic designs abroad and at home.
